Know which project management software fits your practice, before you commit
The App Fit Sprint is a structured discovery session that maps how your practice runs, then identifies the right tool for it.
Is This You?
Sound familiar?
- You've looked at project management tools and can't tell which one actually fits the way your practice works
- You chose a tool based on a demo, not your actual processes, and it didn't stick
- You're not sure how quoting, time tracking, variations, and invoicing should connect in a system
- You've had a failed implementation before, or watched a subscription go unused
- You know you need a proper system, but you don't want to waste a £6–10k implementation budget on the wrong platform
What the App Fit Sprint gives you
- A clear map of how your practice actually runs jobs, from first enquiry through to invoice
- A requirements brief that translates your workflows into what a PM tool needs to do
- A shortlist of tools assessed against your practice, not a generic market overview
- A written recommendation with clear reasoning, not just a name
- Confidence that you're spending implementation budget on the right platform
Who the Sprint is for...
Architectural Practices
Fee proposals, RIBA stages, sub-consultants, variations. The way you run projects is specific. The Sprint maps that before recommending anything, so the tool fits your workflow rather than the other way around.
Town Planners & Surveyors
Projects that run across long time scales with irregular billing patterns need a system that reflects that. The Sprint builds a requirements brief around your actual billing and project structure.
Engineering & Construction
Whether you’re running multi-discipline consultancy projects or managing site-based delivery, the margin pressures are the same: cost recovery, subcontractor coordination, and scope that shifts mid-project.
Initial Call
We start by understanding how your practice runs. Who generates quotes? Who raises invoices? How are variations tracked? How does time get logged?
Requirements Definition
We translate what we learned into a structured requirements brief: what the tool needs to do, what's essential, what's a nice-to-have, and what would disqualify an option.
Fit Assessment
We assess a shortlist of tools against your requirements
Recommendation Report
You receive a written report with our recommendation, the reasoning behind it, and a suggested next step. You'll understand exactly why the recommendation was made, so you can make the call with confidence.
Implementation Planning
If you'd like us to implement our recommendation, the Sprint fee is credited in full against the implementation cost, provided you proceed within 30 days.

What our clients say

FAQs
Frequently asked questions
How is this different from your free discovery call?
The free discovery call is 30 minutes, and it’s about whether we’re a good fit for each other.
The App Fit Sprint is 2-3 hours of structured work: we map your processes, build a requirements brief, assess tools, and produce a written recommendation. It’s a deliverable, not a conversation.
What if we already know which tool we want?
Sometimes the fit is right, and the Sprint confirms it.
Sometimes there’s a better option you haven’t seen. Either way, you’ll have the requirements brief
Do you recommend the same tool to everyone?
No. We have deep experience with the platforms we implement, and we recommend what fits the requirements.
If a tool isn’t right for your practice, we’ll say so. There’s no value in implementing the wrong one for either of us.
What happens after the Sprint?
You get a written report and a suggested next step. If you want to move into implementation, the Sprint fee is credited in full, provided you proceed within 30 days.
If you want to take the recommendation elsewhere, that’s fine too. You keep the report.
How long does it take?
The process mapping session is usually 60–90 minutes. You’ll receive the recommendation report within 5 working days.
